Our Leaders of Collective Worship have an important job in our school and at our church supporting and leading our acts of worship. If you would like to offer suggestions about how we could improve our Collective Worship, please speak to them. If you would like to become a Leader of Collective Worship, please speak to Miss Linley.
Don't forget you can use our prayer stations in classrooms and in the entrance hall. You might want to flick through our Prayer Fish logs for inspiration.
Our children have been writing their own prayers about the world. Here are a few examples. You might want to use these as a prayer for the day.
Emily's prayer
"Thank you for the lovely insects and bugs in the world. But please can you stop people from squashing them. Amen."
Emma's prayer
"This is a prayer to someone who knows how to help and I am talking to you. All I need to say is thank you for friends and family. They give us love and that is like God giving us love. But what I am aiming at is anti-bullying, and all I want is for people to be friends. Thanks for listening and please think about what I have said. Amen."
Gabriel's prayer
"Dear God. Thank you for the many different and wonderful foods, fruits, vegetables and drinks that you have provided for us. Please may you help unfortunate people who don't have a lot of food, become as healthy, well-fed and fortunate as the fortunate people. Amen."
Madi's prayer
Thank you for the clean water for drinking and other ways we use water. Can you support the charities that help countries to give clean water? If you support them, you save a lot lives. Amen
Phoebe's poem
Dear God. Please help children in Africa to get an education. Thank you for the education I have but we must remember the children who do not have that opportunity. Amen.
